International  Quilt and Textile Art in Rüdesheim/Rhine

Together with Patchwork Gilde Deutschland we are looking forward to presenting the Patchworktage 2011 in Rüdesheim am Rhein.

In addition to a wide choice of workshops and numerous quilt exhibitions we will offer a large market with the latest sewing and quilting machines, fabrics, threads, embellishments and accessories. The market with many stalls as well as the workshops and the free Patch-Kids workshop take place in the Hildegardisschule and its two gymnasiums.

“Tradition bis Moderne IX” Competition, 26 May to 14 June 2011This TRAVELLING EXHIBITION of juried quilts will start in the cloister of the Kloster Johannisberg hotel in Rüdesheim - a town with a rich tradition of wine growing – and will be opened on 29 May 2011. The hotel is situated on a mountain overlooking the Rhine and surrounded by vineyards.

Workshops
In cooperation with Patchwork Gilde Deutschland we will be offering an interesting programme of workshops (reduced fees for members of Patchwork Gilde Deutschland)

A Wide Variety of Fringe Activities
Rüdesheim attracts tourists from near and far. We offer our visitors bus tours to abbeys, castles and other tourist attractions worth visiting. Relax after a visit to the Patchworktage, hop on the bus and enjoy the romantic Rhine region.

In the evening Rüdesheim restaurants and pubs will welcome quilters for a friendly get-together and to share experiences over “Weck, Worscht und Woi” (bread, sausages and wine).
